Visit Kelso

Concept creation and implementation of a PR campaign that attracted widespread national coverage for the town of Kelso in the Scottish Borders. The project included:

  • Planning, organising, and delivering the ‘Scotland’s Wellbeing Capital’ PR campaign
  • Recruiting 24 Visit Kelso members to become Wellbeing Warriors
  • Drafting a media release highlighting the commitment to visitors’ wellbeing
  • Researching and contacting appropriate media outlets for the media release
  • Collaborating with the SCHLOSS PR team and South of Scotland Destination Alliance PR group to increase campaign exposure
  • Subcontracting a local photographer to capture an image for the campaign
  • Creating a graphical creative for the campaign 
  • Achieving widespread news coverage in print publications (e.g., The Herald, The Metro), digital publications (e.g., The Times Photo of the Day), and television (e.g., ITV Borders News)
